Lincoln High School Community Development Corporation The historic Lincoln High School, once the sole institution available to Black children in Montgomery County for education beyond the eighth grade, stands as a powerful symbol of resilience, equity, and community vision. For decades, it served as a critical pathway to opportunity for countless students during a time of deep inequity. We honor that legacy and the courageous individuals who built and supported it by rebuilding, renovating, and repurposing the facility to meet the evolving needs of our community.
About
Our mission is to transform Lincoln High School into a dynamic community hub that both preserves its historical legacy and fosters new opportunities for growth, learning, and empowerment.
In this space we will provide:
1. Office suites for nonprofits
2. Incubator space for startups and small businesses
3. A Popup commercial kitchen for
a. Restaurant soft openings
b. Small group meetings
c. Short-term rental for catering opportunities
Additionally, we are beginning programming for;
1. Business Mentorship Program for aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals
2. Youth Mentorship Programs to cultivate leadership, purpose, and vision
3. Tutoring and Academic Support Services for local students
Separately we want to provide scholarship opportunities for descendants of alum and local residents that value what this school stood for and its contribution to the local economy through establishing a Lincoln High School Scholarship Fund, continuing the tradition of investing in the next generation.
